All parents of children attending Montessori School of Louisville are members of MSLPTO, Montessori School of Louisville Parent Teacher Organization. MSLPTO supports the school by facilitating communication among parents, teachers, and the administration, and by organizing educational, social, and fundraising activities. Our goal is to have 100% of our families actively participating in our school community. We offer various opportunities for parents to contribute their time and talent in an area that suits their interests and lifestyle. Parent volunteering is as much part of the MSL culture as is instilling sense of community in our children.
MSLPTO holds monthly meetings and runs a diverse set of committees like Wednesday Material Making, Family Fun Events, Teacher Appreciation, Gardening, and Scholarship Fundraising to name a few. Participating in MSLPTO is an excellent way for parents to meet other parents, learn more about MSL, and to learn more about their child’s experience at MSL.
Would you like to be part of the PTO leadership team? Each year there are vacancies on the PTO Executive Team. If you are interested in a leadership position, contact the PTO President, Kristina Valerius at PTO@msl-edu.org. If being on the leadership team is not for you, we are always looking for committee chairpersons and committee members.
