Montessori School of Louisville understands that an important part of growing up is experiencing a variety of academic, athletic, and arts activities throughout the sensitive periods of a child’s life.  Maria Montessori believed that the mind, body, and spirit work best as an integrated whole.

Music and Sports

  • Children to be part of a team and recognize the importance of their role
  • Develop skills through repetition and rehearsal
  • Provide opportunities to perform in front of others
  • Encourage the development of endurance and positive attitudes

We also encourage students who have a particular affinity for a musical instrument or sport to participate in outside classes or teams to further enhance their skills. MSL encourages children to follow their interests and to experience time for unstructured play on a regular basis.
